This mix makes a wonderful bean soup that was a tradition with the folks who first settled the St. Augustine, Florida area. Spanish in origin, this bean soup is typical of bean soups throughout Central America where the influence of the original Spanish explorers and settlers is still prominent in the local cuisine. St. Augustine makes this particular soup their own by the addition of hot sauce made from the locally famous Datil pepper. In this tradition, this mix includes a 1/2 ounce (14g) bottle of DAT'L DO IT ® Hot Sauce so you can add that special touch found only in St. Augustine.
